When we say island time in no time – we mean that! In just 55 minutes you can be away from the hustle and bustle of urban life and relaxing, enjoying the fresh air, sea breezes and scenery of Scotland’s gem that is known as the Isle of Arran. The Gulf Stream offers a warmer climate than you might expect, which is why you’ll see swaying palm trees around the shores – especially on the west coast.
Arran is not called Scotland in miniature for nothing. The fault line divides the island into two very different sections – the rocky and mountainous north and the lush green pastures of the south – just like the Scottish mainland! Arran is only 56 miles in circumference, so nowhere is more than half an hour’s drive away from the village you’re staying in. We have golf courses, castles, museum, a distillery and fantastic local produce – ideal for souvenirs or just to enjoy on your break.
