As the largest settlement on Arran and the main port, Brodick offers visitors the best selection of services and amenities on the island. Great views of the sandy bay, Goatfell and Brodick Castle.
Corrie, with its two tiny harbours, is a particularly attractive little village with white cottages hugging the shoreline, a family-run hotel and village shop.
Kildonan is situated in the south-east corner of Arran offering breathtaking views and a sense of tranquility. Amenities include two hotels, B & B's, self catering, campsite and a local shop.
A key naval anchorage during the Second World War, Lamlash is now the undisputed yachting and boating capital of Arran. There is also a good range of accommodation, services and amenities.
At the north of the island, Lochranza is situated in an idyllic spot and offers all types of accommodation, as well as the Isle of Arran Distillery, a local shop and dining options.
A peaceful village with a marvellous shore of rocks and sandy beaches. Bed & breakfast accommodation is available in Pirnmill and there is a tearoom/restaurant and a local shop.
In Viking times, this area was called ‘sand-vik’, meaning ‘sandy bay’. Sannox has a hotel and bar, trekking centre and a 9-hole golf course with excellent views.
The third largest settlement on Arran, Whiting Bay is a thriving yet tranquil spot – with a golf course, bowling and putting greens, art gallery, a range of shops, restaurants, accommodation and even a little colony of swans.
Overlooking Drumadoon bay, Blackwaterfoot is the largest settlement on the west coast of Arran and has a good range of accommodation, services and amenities including the renowned Shiskine Golf Club.
