Horse Riding

Enjoy a trek

You honestly cannot beat cantering a horse along a beach for an exhilarating and invigorating experience.

On Arran we are fortunate to have super two riding centres, Cairnhouse Stables in Blackwaterfoot and North Sannox Pony Trekking in the foothills of North Glen Sannox. Both can offer beach and inland treks, for all abilities.

If you’re a beginner you can be reassured that they will make sure your horse is gently led so that you won’t feel you’re missing out. Lessons may also be arranged at one of the centres.

Hard hats are provided free for all riders. There are some weight limits. Please be honest – the ponies on Arran are all well cared for, and no-one wants to put added strain on a cuddy’s back!
