Geo Tourist

VisitArran App

Sometimes, you just want to take things slowly at your own pace, and yet still be able to discover the hidden gems that make up our beautiful island experience. The Geotourist VisitArran app is a great way to do this. Through the app you can enjoy an anticlockwise tour of the island, with audio descriptions from native islanders and even some Scots poetry from Robert McLellan’s Arran Burn, read by Sheila (VisitArran’s CEO!)

The tour will take you around 20 points of interest starting from Brodick and heading north. There are some regular attractions in there, such as the lovely Museum and Brodick Castle, but there’s also lots of less well-known features that we’d love you to explore -from stepping stones to lochs, and from chambered cairns to mini golf!

There really is something for the whole family to enjoy, and remember the tour has been designed by islanders – we wanted to share some of our favourite things with you. Many of the features of this tour are accessible by public transport, although some do invite you to walk up hills or round the coast to access the points of interest, so you can be selective over what you do and when.

It’s really easy to access the tour, just download the app and off you go. Enjoy!
