Arran Rangers

Local ranger service

As part of the National Trust for Scotland (NTS) Brodick Castle Garden and Country Park, Arran Ranger Service delivers an incredible service. The small and dedicated team who make up NTS Ranger Service manages Brodick Country Park and Goatfell, including the surrounding mountains. Their combined skills and knowledge is amazing and the team is a great ‘go-to’ for all things animal, plant or mineral relating to Arran.

Arran Ranger Service is based in the countryside centre behind Brodick Castle. This is where community groups who are supported by the Rangers meet, such as Arran Young Naturalists, and Arran Healthy Outdoors, who are planting and growing a native tree nursery.

Arran Ranger Service deal with estate management such as deer counts, fencing and tree planting as well as undertaking guided walks and environmental education. They run an occasional events programme, which can include Badger Watch, Landrover Safaris and hill walks, as well as doing Seashore Scrambles.
